About Me

Art expresses the conscious and the unconscious. It evokes feelings, communicates ideas through undercurrents, expresses thoughts through colours, shadings, and shadows. Delve into a panoply of colours, expressed realistically but through the eye of the artist. Transcend time into vestiges of the past, into memories of transcient childhood, and into stages of spiritual transitions.

Alan, You are too kind. Thank you for the compliments. I am happy that you like the work. At first I thought it was going to ba a scathing critique! I enjoyed perusing our site. I like the Gaspe in particular and the Vision and Spirit part 2 had some wonderful work. Canadian blood showing through!! Thank you- Dan

Allen; Thank you for your very nice comments, pointillism is very painstaking and slow but fun. Keep up the good work, I especially like the long blue piece with the row of buildings. Very nice. Gail

thanks Allan, love the color harmony in Dans le Midi de la France. I''m nuts over orange recently.

Thank you for taking the time to write about my work....I love the way you captured the shadows in Beyond the open gate...very skillful. The painting of the Hay Fields....looks exactly like the view from my living room window! Beautiful.

Thanks, Alan for the kind words. Somehow the contrasts make it easier for me to capture an image. Took a look at your site and your work looks great. Some of the scenes remind me of some towns I visited in Norway this year.

Hi Allan! Thanks for your visit and comments. I really love your white fence & big trees painting--it really grabbed a memory in my childhood! You really get the emotional quality of your scenes, they carry a lot of feelings.Keep posting more!

Allen, thank you kindly for your comment. The thing about being poorly is that confidence evaporates. Not that I am complaining but every little boost helps. I have selected 12 wildlife images to have a go at for practice. I must get the fur as perfect as possible, this I know from doing the Belvedere torso muscles, will drive me crazy. So I shall end up with either a pile of rubbish or stuff that I can hang up. I will post them on the site, also sometimes, work in progress and ask for comments. Sorry to drivel on. All the very best David Lamb.
