About Me

I paint in oils and acrylics on canvas or board. My particular style is realism and I try to capture as accurately as possible, the images I paint. My work has sold in the UK and abroad. Subjects I find particularly interesting are rustic buildings and doors in various degrees of dilapidation such as peeling paint, flaking plaster and rotting timber.I have been particularly affected by the Pre Raphaelites, L.S Lowry, and Boyd and Evans who inspired my interest in photorealism.

Hi Ben. Love your rustic buildings, so beautifully and carefully painted. You''d have a ball over here in Ireland painting the vast numbers of abandoned little cottages scattered around the fields here!

Really nice work, Ben. I think that you would also enjoy the subject matter that we have here in the rural areas of Alabama (USA). I''m looking forward to seeing more of your work.
