I've just moved from beautiful Victoria British Columbia on Canada's west coast to Vancouver British Columbia. Both cities are on the coast and that is what inspires me to paint my favorite subject "Underwater Whales". After formal study in many art forms...Fiber Arts, Ceramics, and Graphic Arts, "Watercolors" caught my heart and soul and I've had the privilege of studying with many of the outstanding artists of Canada and the USA. As an artist, you are expressing yourself in very different styles. The flow of water streaming past the belugas, sometimes flowing around them in beautiful composition, these paintings capture the movement and power of the creatures of the deeps. In contrast, your stylized tulips and irises at night, they also capture movement of light that illuminates the petals in many hues. I like both styles very much.

Ah Connie, what can I say but wow. Your marine paintings in particular captured my attention. They are just beautiful. While I am grateful to have stumbled across your work I know I am not experiencing the full beauty of these pieces. Keep painting and posting!
