About Me

I am a contemporary Alaskan painter. This year I received Governor Palin's Artist of the Year award, was accepted into the Smithsonian and the Butler Institute of American Art. I have done about 15 major Public Art commissions and have exhibited all across the US and Russia, (which you can see from here)!

What audacity! Absolutely irreverent, taking on the great masters, European and American, and placing their work in a contemporary Alaskan setting. Your play on words and juxtaposition of time periods throws the viewer a curve ball every time. Any professor of the history of art could take a leaf from your book to toss a sense of humour into his presentations. The gallery dealing with greenhouse warming is especially relevant as it comes from an Alaskan artist. I congratulate you on being awarded by Governor Palin. Had she seen "Sarah Syrah" and the target of your humour? Great work. Thanks for making it available to us.
