About Me
I’m Giselle Markum, sculpturist and abstract painter, born in Belgium and living in Barcelona. I have an intuitive painting, I begin a work by developing a mental image of it - and have a clear image of the composition before I start; and then I concentrate on the scale and proportions. I gave up figurative painting because of its limitations in expressing my vision, which could be expressed only in non-objective form. In my opinion, “art is the expression without words”.
