About Me

I am generally drawn to paint stuff I see most everyday. I recently moved to San Diego next to a large urban park so I am now painting landscapes as well as cityscapes. No matter what the subject matter - my main goal is to live long, have fun painting and make stuff that feels important. I want a life with as few regrets as possible. My painting takes inspiration from a diverse range of artists as Antonio Lopez Garcia, Fairfield Porter, Gregory Gillespie, Ed Kienholz, Max Beckmann, Richard E... more

Larry, I recognize you from the various forums where I am a devoted lurker. The artists you list as favorites are almost all my inspirations as well, Lopez and Porter, especially. The western work you show here is great. Do you know John Register''s paintings? --J
