About Me

You know the question, "What would you like to be when you grow up?" Ah well...I've never had to wonder. I did get off track for a number of years, in that I raised seven children, but I found my way back. For the last seventeen years I’ve been working in colored pencil and I’ve been relatively successful. I've won numerous awards, been published a dozen or so times, have gallery representation and teach workshops across the country. In spite of that hard-earned recognition and the years investe... more

Hi Linda, "What would you like to be when you grow up?" I wanted to be an artist from my days at Primary school, but growing up?...Never! Luv the photo of you + the fortune cookie & especially "repose", which I find says so much whilst being beautifully understated & enigmatic. A work that allows the mind to wander and not just the eyes to see. JT :)

Linda! I''m a big fan of your oil paintings, but I always LOVED your color pencil work too! (and I, too was one of those weird color pencil artists!) Good to see you here! Diane

Hi Linda! Not only are you a master of colored pencil, but a master at putting heart and soul in all your work.

You are mighty young looking to be producing such beautiful finished works.

Have you ever had one of those days when you just needed a good laugh? Well today was one of those days. Your comment Mr. Jones made my day...thanks! Linda

You keep putting up some fine paintings. Is that green thing in the bag an avocado? You''ve got the makings of a salsa here. If you cook as good as you paint please put me on the Thanksgiving guest list.

Wonderful work, Linda. The wrapped pieces especially are superb.

Fantastic work! The stuff in glass or plastic wrap is amazing. To most of your profile, I just said "Me, too!" Always wanted to be an artist, raised eight kids and put off art until 1993. My photo is from when I was 15. I used to work primarily in oil pastels, which are fancy color crayons. I now work more with oils.
