About Me

I am an oil painter from Mandurah, in the South West of Western Australia. I have painted a variety of subjects, but specialise in Seascapes and Marine Art. The bright Western Australian light and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean combine to produce ocean and shore vistas of startling clarity and colour. I try to capture some of that in my work, from sun drenched shores to moody sunsets.

Thanks for the comment on my page Martin. (I''m not sure how to rely on my own profile or, if in fact I can) Anyway I see you''re in Mandurah. I am about to move from NZ to Perth in January and have just had 11 beautiful days in that lovely city. I am looking forward to getting involved with the art scene there once i''m settled in. LOVE the weather! And love yor work!!!!

Conrad Mieschke - 11/5/2008 1:30:00 PM

Martin, I like to return the compliment, and there is no doubt you live in Australia. Every painting of yours reflects that as much as winter in Canada does in my work, and you only can show that in realistic expression. Great stuff, keep it up. Conrad

Beverly Claridge - 11/6/2008 9:37:00 PM

Hello, Martin. Thanks for your encouraging remarks. I am so surrounded by beauty here it is a challenge at times to choose what to paint. I laughed at Larry Groff''s comments. I find most people think New Zealand is a part of Australia. The great trans-Tasman friendly rivalry. I love your landscapes. They increases my desire to visit your lovely land.
