This is the most talented and incredible artist I know.

J-B - 8/21/2008 8:01:00 PM

I have known Scott and followed his art and art shows for 20+ years (!). Amazing progression, extraordinary art and talent...I regret only one thing...that my salary has not kept up with the price of his originals. I have reproductions though, and to me, they look as true as the originals.

Your work is outstanding! I am a "by referral" portrait artist with The Lawrance Gallery and also with The Sovereign Collection Gallery. Where is your work going to be shown on Labor Day weekend? I would like to see it and perhaps meet you, as well! Nice to see another Northwest artist in this site.

Your work is beautiful. So serene. I was born and raised in the Northwest and you have captured it''s unique beauty! And that is a hard thing to do. Beautiful!

Anderson - 9/13/2008 6:17:00 PM

Ooops, I first looked and looked at your paintings and had to post before I read your bio. But your paintings do remind me of the area I grew up, the hazy soft golden light. I really like your work.

Scott - 9/13/2008 6:45:00 PM

Thanks for your comments, Anderson. Much of my pastel inspiration comes from the eastern part of the state. BTW, your work is beautiful!

Ikeep returning to your pastels, Scott. they are not only just darn beautiful to look at but steeped in sense of time and place. I can almost smell the field and hear the crickets and yet they border on the abstract at the same time. I guess they almost seem magical.
