I paint pretty obsessively, finding more subject matter than I can possibly deal with. Still life, landscape, animals are all on my easel at one time or another. I am primarily self-taught and paint with acrylics and watercolor in a contemporary realist style. In my paintings I attempt to capture the essence of that which seems too beautiful to pass by.

That is an interesting blog site you have posted, inviting comments and keeping viewers aware of the progress of your works. These are not paintings turned out in the manner of one a day. Thanks for all the thought and care you apply to your composition. It pays off in a crafted work of art. The detail and precision in the doily underlying the still life of the orange recall the Dutch masters. A very classical approach which I like very much.
