About Me

Originally from a small Iowa town, I spent a year at Iowa State after leaving the Navy. A friend ask me to try California so I did. It is a lot warmer here. I spent 11 years in the UC system getting an MSEE from UCLA and attending graduate school at UCSB until I finally burned out on full time work and study. Thank you for your visit & words. We moved from Southern California to Northern Minnesota & decided that it doesn''t get any colder here than it got hot there - we can just put on more clothes. Thanks for your comment on "Face to The Wind"----and about cutting my grass from your earlier comment, it is about knee high in some places right now!---you can only do what you can do! Trying to actually make a living from my art means lots of stuff has to take the back seat. I think that you working another job and turning out great paintings is admirable!

Your pumpkin painting is beautiful. The painting of the women draped in cloth is amazing. The size of the canvas is perfect for that subject.. The red is striking!
