jacqui faye, primarily self taught, began painting as a child under the direction of her mother and grandmother. Her most recent work, the Red Shoe series, is figurative with an unusual twist. Besides the ever-present red shoes, her fictional subjects are not only anonymous but faceless as well. Love the Red Shoes in most of this series...Your compositions are great! I also like the way you don''t reveil the face of the women....lets the viewer put herself in your Red Shoes!
